NEW YORK CITY (Reuters) – Eighteen individuals were required to health centers with non-life-threatening injuries after a double-decker trip bus hit a New york city City commuter bus on Thursday night in Manhattan, according to the city’s fire department.
The front windows of a double-decker TopView trip bus were shattered in the accident with the back of a bus run by the Metropolitan Transport Authority, which occurred around 7 p.m. (2300 GMT) in the beginning Opportunity and 23rd Street on the east side of Manhattan.
Both buses were crowded, according to New york city Fire Department authorities who informed press reporters, and another 63 individuals were assessed by medical personnel at the scene.
The majority of the injuries were cuts, scrapes and contusions, fire department authorities stated, though some individuals were dealt with for thought fractured bones and head and neck injuries.
