Larry Nassar, disgraced ex-USA Gymnastics physician, stabbed in jail

Larry Nassar, the previous sports physician who is serving a decades-long jail term for sexually abusing young female gymnasts, was stabbed several times throughout a run-in with another prisoner on Sunday, according to a report by the Associated Press.

2 individuals knowledgeable about the matter informed the AP the attack at United States Penitentiary Coleman in Florida left Nassar in steady condition. One source stated Nassar was stabbed in the back and the chest.

Individuals talked to the AP on the condition of privacy since they were not licensed to talk about the information of the attack or the continuous examination openly.

Larry Nassar, who was convicted of sexually abusing female gymnasts, was stabbed multiple times during an altercation with another incarcerated person at a federal prison in Florida, the Associated Press reported.

Nassar, the previous U.S.A. Gymnastics group physician, pleaded guilty in 2018 to federal and state charges of abusing lots of professional athletes, consisting of U.S. Olympic staff member Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney, with over 150 providing victim-impact declarations at his sentencing hearing. He got a sentence of 40 to 175 years in jail.
