BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Those using an assisting hand are getting some security of their own thanks to a modification in Vermont’s joblessness insurance coverage policy.
Last session, Vermont’s basic assembly altered joblessness insurance coverage laws for little non-profits.
Now, all non-profits should offer joblessness insurance coverage. Before the law passed this year, companies with less than 4 workers were exempt from supplying protection.
Non-profits will need to report their incomes quarterly and track brand-new hires. This modification enters into impact July 1st of next year.
