Judge Rejects CVS’s Movement to Dismiss Lie Detector Test for Task Applicants

A federal judge in Massachusetts recently rejected CVS’s movement to dismiss part of a proposed class action grievance versus it in which a task candidate implicated the business of subjecting him and other interviewees to a synthetic intelligence-powered lie detector test without correct alert.

Lawyers with Seyfarth Shaw, on behalf of CVS Health Corp., relocated to dismiss the 3rd count of the grievance brought by the complainant, Brendan Baker, who implicated CVS of breaking Massachusetts General Laws chapter 149, Area 19B, likewise referred to as the “Lie Detector Statute.” While CVS did not challenge the sufficiency of the claims that it breached the Lie Detector Statute, it relocated to dismiss the count that it stopped working to supply Baker sufficient notification of his statutory rights, according to an order submitted Feb. 16 by U.S. District Judge Patti B. Saris.
