Attorneys Open Very First Roundup Liability Trial in Delaware

Opening declarations were offered Monday in Delaware’s very first Roundup trial, starting what’s arranged to be a four-week case in the Superior Court case including a South Carolina guy who declared the Monsanto herbicide triggered him to establish non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Bart Rankin of the Dallas-based Forrest Weldon Law Group stated the complainant will reveal that Monsanto, now part of Bayer, acted in self interest and declined to resolve security interest in Roundup, while Arnold & & Porter partner Pamela Yates argued the jury does not need to like Monsanto to acknowledge there’s no evidence Roundup triggers cancer either typically or in Anthony Cloud, who passed away soon after submitting his case in 2021.
